8th Annual Southern Obesity Summit in Kentucky

The 8th Annual Southern Obesity Summit is being held October 5-7, 2014 at the Marriott Louisville Downtown in Kentucky!

The Southern Obesity Summit (SOS) is the largest regional obesity prevention event in the United States, drawing hundreds of participants from the 16 Southern States consisting of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

The Georgia Health Policy Center is a part of the conference steering committee.

Attendees will include youth, university researchers, policymakers, leaders from community based organizations, federal and state government officials, health care providers, nonprofit organizations, and members from national and state associations.
