About Our Approach
One of the core competencies of the GHPC is grants management. The GHPC partners with public and private grant makers to leverage federal, state, local, and philanthropic resources, empower local communities, and address priority health care problems. GHPC staff have experience preparing, disseminating, and reviewing grant proposals, as well as managing, evaluating, and providing technical assistance for grants to local community organizations.
The grant review and selection process the GHPC uses involves:
- Development of proposals
- Dissemination of request for proposal
- Development of assessment criteria
- Review of submitted proposals
- Conduct site visits
- Selection and awards
- Provision of technical assistance
