Carla Willis is the associate project director at the Georgia Health Policy Center. She currently leads the Medicaid policy and business team. In this position she brings expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis, health policy development, and evaluating business solutions for the Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids programs.
Willis’s current projects include evaluating the impact of the primary care fee bump on physician supply, and patient access for Georgia Medicaid members, understanding enrollment trends in the PeachCare for Kids program, and examining the demographic features of women and girls who use various forms of contraceptive devices. Most recently, she has led the construction of the Health Care Finance and Systems Thinking Learning Series for the Georgia Department of Community Health. This series engages senior leaders as well as program and policy experts with content on health care delivery system reform, innovations in health care finance, and leveraging opportunities for high-impact revisions to the Medicaid program through systems thinking.
