The Georgia Department of Early Childhood and Learning (GADECAL), in collaboration with the Maternal and Child Health Section of the Georgia Department of Public Health, is engaged in an effort to develop a more unified statewide approach to comprehensive assessments. The GHPC has been engaged to facilitate the work of a 45 member Task Force and its 2 subcommittees that will meet over the next 18 months to understand the current state of assessment in Georgia, identify best practices and make recommendations for changes in practice and/ policies as it relates to comprehensive assessment.
