The Georgia Health Policy Center’s latest book, Aligning Systems for Health: Two Years of Learning, advances understanding of how people and organizations across health care, public health, and social services sectors can work together in new and sustainable ways to advance health and well-being.
The book contains insights and evidence-informed approaches gleaned from research and practice that can help diverse partners align around a common goal of improving health, equity, and well-being. Key learnings include:
- The core components — shared purpose, finance, data, and governance — remain central to the success of health-oriented, cross-sector collaboration.
- Sixteen on-the-ground profiles from around the country offer key lessons learned and examples on diverse approaches to developing these core components.
- Equity and community voice are integral at all points of aligning — not just as an endpoint.
- Changes in mindsets, practices, and policies that support the more distal outcomes can be measured and evaluated along the way.
The book is available for download or you can request a free hard copy.
