A Healthier Georgia is seeking applications for four health opportunity pilot communities that are working to strengthen their capacity to advance health equity and well-being in the state.
“We know that communities across Georgia are finding innovative ways to enhance residents’ access to the vital conditions needed for health and well-being,” says Tanisa Adimu, an associate project director at the Georgia Health Policy Center and co-lead of A Healthier Georgia. “We are looking to fund four community collaboratives already creating and implementing community-driven strategies to improve things like affordable and safe housing, healthy food, quality education, meaningful work and wealth, and a sense of belonging, so that all people have the opportunity to thrive in Georgia.”
A Healthier Georgia is supported by the Georgia Department of Public Health through funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and is coordinated by the Georgia Health Policy Center. Collaboratives working to improve the health and well-being of their community are invited to apply before March 31, 2023.
