Health Equity and COVID-19: The Impact of Rural Residence on COVID-19 Disparities
Pandemics, such as COVID-19, often amplify existing health inequities and historically have disproportionately affected socially and economically disadvantaged groups. Although much of the focus around COVID-19 disparities centers on racial and ethnic disparities, health disparities have long been an issue in rural communities.
