- Biography
Bill Rencher is a senior research associate at the Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC) and serves as the senior advisor to GHPC CEO, Karen Minyard. His expertise includes federal and state Medicaid regulations, compliance reviews, legal analysis, and report writing. Rencher also has experience with hospital financial assistance programs, federal and state health care laws and regulations, the Affordable Care Act, and research ethics.
In addition to his role as senior advisor, Rencher serves on the Medicaid Policy and Business team, working under a contract with the Georgia Department of Community Health to provide the state agency with research and technical assistance for the Georgia Medicaid program. Rencher also works with GHPC’s Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health, providing legal support to their work for the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. As an attorney, Rencher contributes his legal knowledge and research skills to GHPC teams focusing on regulatory and legal compliance issues.
Rencher is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Health Law section, and the American Society for Law, Medicine, and Ethics. His research has appeared in the American Journal of Public Health and SAGE Open Medicine.
