- Biography
Maggie Leonard is a senior research associate on the Health Systems team at the Georgia Health Policy Center. Her areas of interest include health disparities, health equity, community-based research, and behavioral health. She is a licensed social worker.
Leonard is part of the Aligning Systems for Health and Aligning for Equity teams that are researching how community voice and aligning systems can strengthen health equity. She also offers technical assistance to the Health Opportunity Pilot program with the Georgia Statewide Health Equity Initiative, conducts community health needs assessments for health systems, and supports the Georgia Department of Public Health state health assessment and state health improvement plan with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Leonard has presented her work at a number of national conferences including those hosted by the American Public Health Association and the National Network of Public Health Institutes. Her research has been published in Health Services Research.
