- Biography
Rex Crawford is a senior training specialist at the Georgia Health Policy Center. His expertise is in recovery-oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), community mental health, marriage and family issues, severe and persistent mental illness, and advocacy for recipients of mental health services. He holds a clinical license as a Marriage and Family Therapist provides mental health counseling in a private practice setting.
As a member of GHPC’s Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health, he is focused on training providers across the state of Georgia in CT-R as part of the Georgia Beck Initiative, a collaborative partnership with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Crawford provides interactive training workshops followed by a sustained consultation process to prepare providers across the continuum of care to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in recovery and returning to meaningful, satisfying lives.
