- Biography
Wendy Avila Rodriguez is a senior research associate at the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health within the Georgia Health Policy Center. As a program evaluator, she has developed expertise in research, technical assistance, public health education, and program implementation. Her research covers the substance use continuum, emphasizing prevention, recovery, and harm reduction. She focuses on employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand the unique challenges of adolescents in substance use disorder recovery, people who inject drugs, and people living with HIV. Her work aims to bridge care gaps and influence policy both domestically and internationally, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing community health outcomes.
Avila Rodriguez’s current projects include evaluating the Prevention Clubhouses, the Recovery Support Clubhouses, and the State Opioid Response Prevention Grant Plan.
