ARCHIves
Valuing the expertise from people with lived experience can elevate the voice of the community, drive understanding of the root causes of inequity, shift power in decision-making, and inform allocation of resources to address the most pressing on-the-ground community needs.
ARCHI, housed at the Georgia Health Policy Center, and its partners are sharing the stories of individuals living in Atlanta who continue to encounter persistent health and racial inequities as they seek care and support. ARCHI is engaging in a three-part process to listen (collect stories), learn (host community panels), and disseminate these stories as a strategy to elevate the expertise of individuals with lived experience. These stories will guide the collaborative’s work and ongoing learning opportunities.
Initial stories have been collected from individuals with experiences of homelessness. The ARCHIves body of stories will continue to grow as ARCHI engages service seekers and providers, as well as youth engaged in the Thrive by 25 Initiative, in partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
