Early Head Start Program Research
The Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health at the Georgia Health Policy Center received funding from the Administration for Children and Families to conduct research on the impact of the Early Head Start programs using secondary data.
The research has already looked at topics such as how Early Head Start programs can better connect families in need of services to those services and how maternal and caregiver depression can be addressed by Early Head Start programs, as well as potential benefits receipt of services might have on both caregivers and their children.
The Center of Excellence has been granted access to additional several large, nationally representative data sets collected as part of Administration for Children and Families’ mission to generate new insights into behavioral health for young children.
