Ending the HIV Epidemic in Georgia
Ending the HIV Epidemic in Georgia is a planning grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to plan for ending the HIV epidemic by 2030 in four metro Atlanta counties: Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, and Gwinnett. State and community partners worked to formulate an aggressive plan not only to build on and expand effective existing programs, but to direct resources to new and innovative programs targeted to priority locations, populations, and needs, with the ultimate goal of identifying people with HIV, and connecting them to and retaining them in care to achieve optimal health outcomes.
In support of the Georgia Department of Public Health, the Georgia Health Policy Center facilitated numerous key stakeholder meetings, surveyed community organizations and leaders, and supported the overall strategic planning process.
