Georgia Youth at Risk for Psychosis
The Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health at the Georgia Health Policy Center is providing evidence-based training in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy and Youth Mental Health First Aid to Georgia’s eight Mental Health Resiliency Clubhouses and the five affiliated mental health provider organizations, which are supported by Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
This training initiative is aimed at improving outcomes for youth who are identified as at clinical high risk for psychosis, with the goal of preventing the onset of psychosis or reducing the duration of untreated psychosis. Youth receiving mental health support services at the clubhouses range in age from 6 to 21 years.
